Must be attending a U.S. high school, trade school, college, or university

International students attending a U.S. school are welcome

Must be a full-time student working towards a degree or interested in a relevant profession

Field of study or interest must be within architecture, landscape architecture, planning and urban design, civil/structural/electrical/mechanical/environmental/geotechnical/transportation engineering, construction, construction management, or interior design

If awarded, must attend the scholarship ceremony (Awards Banquet) on 2026-10-01 (mandatory)

If awarded, must be available to participate in filming of a short video clip (mandatory)

Supporting documents must be submitted before the application due date and uploaded as PDFs

Required supporting documents include resume (1 page max), personal statement (2 pages max), sample work/project (max 5 pages) with accompanying essay (3 pages max), and two letters of recommendation

Applicants must be students or professionals in the fields of architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC)

High school seniors should apply for the High School Scholarship if still a senior at application deadline

Student Loan Grant applicants must have outstanding student loans and be out of school

AAa/e membership is required only for the Student Loan Grant; other categories do not require membership

Awardees are required to attend the Scholarship Ceremony (AAa/e Banquet on October 1, 2026) to accept the award

High School, Community College, Undergraduate, and Graduate Scholarship awardees are required to participate in a short video clip (Student Loan Grant and AEC Education Grant awardees are not required)

Letters of recommendation may be submitted and should be on letterhead with contact information

Group projects are accepted if applicant clearly explains their contribution

Open to applicants of any descent; no Asian descent requirement

Out-of-state students are eligible
