About this scholarship

Provides in-state tuition-rate coverage (after other aid) for eligible Miami-Dade County recent high school graduates to complete up to 60 credits toward an AA or AS. Pays tuition and class fees only (not cash); requires full-time enrollment (12+ credits Fall & Spring), completion of FAFSA (or SAI upload), and meeting college-readiness test score or GPA requirements. Renewable if renewal requirements are met.

Earn a standard high school diploma, GED, or home school diploma in Miami-Dade County during May-July 2026 (without a previous degree)

Currently reside in Miami-Dade County

Entering college for the first time or be a graduating dual enrollee

Cumulative high school weighted GPA of 3.00 or above

Admitted to Miami Dade College and registered for 12 or more credits for the Fall 2026 semester

Complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA (or complete SAI and upload results if unable to complete FAFSA)

Must prove college readiness by meeting minimum test scores on approved standardized tests OR have a cumulative high school weighted GPA of 3.5 or greater

GED recipients must earn the diploma during May-July 2026 in what would be their senior year

Florida Virtual School graduates are accepted if they reside in Miami-Dade County

Students without a GPA on their transcripts must earn the diploma during the time period listed and meet minimum test scores

Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 by the end of every Spring term to retain the scholarship

Register for at least 12 credits every Fall and Spring term
