About This Scholarship

The AMS will be awarding scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year. Acceptable candidates are high school seniors that have been accepted full time in a four- or five-year college or university program, or undergraduate students currently enrolled in a college or university program, which will lead to a career in the Environmental Field (e.g., Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Law).

Eligibility Requirements

Original Requirements

  • Must be a high school senior accepted full time in a four- or five-year college or university program
  • Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a college or university program leading to a career in the Environmental Field
  • Applicants must live within the geographical area served by the AMS (all of Pennsylvania west of the Susquehanna River and the State of West Virginia)
  • Must have at least a 'B' average or a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Children or spouses of AMS-AWMA members may study an environmental program at any accredited college or university
