The Midwife Foundation, Inc. Basic Midwifery Student Scholarships provide annual awards (multiple named scholarships) to students in basic midwifery education programs to support education expenses and encourage completion of basic midwifery training. Awards are judged on academic performance, professional excellence, plans to promote health equity, leadership potential, and financial need. Several named scholarships (e.g., Midwives of Color – Watson Scholarship; GlaxoSmithKline Healthcare Consumer Scholarship; Edith B. Wonnell CNM Scholarship; Sandy Woods CNM Memorial Scholarship; Colorado Affiliate BIPOC Scholarship; Pennsylvania Health Equity Anti-Racism (HEAR) Scholarship) are offered as funding allows.
