Eligibility requirements

Must be currently enrolled or accepted at a nationally or regionally accredited college, university, or technical/vocational school on a full-time basis

Must be on a successful graduation track toward a vocational/technical, associate's, bachelor's, or graduate degree

A parent with an honorable discharge and a DD-214 who served in the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, or in the National Guard or Reserve Component

Parent currently serving with the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, or in the National Guard or Reserve Component

Graduated or will graduate from an accredited U.S. High School or High School Equivalency/General Education Diploma Program with a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale

Submit an essay of at least 500 words or create a short video on how you were inspired by the lessons learned from one of the 39 Hall of Famers and the four pillars of Citizenship, Service, Sacrifice, and Legacy

Examples of community service, letters of recommendation, or certificates from community groups, clubs, and charity organizations for whom you have supported in the past two years

Special consideration for applicants who demonstrate leadership or mentoring qualities through participation in their communities' extracurricular or civic activities
