About This Scholarship

College Horizons is a program of excellence designed for American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian high school sophomores and juniors. It is a 5-day pre-college program preparing students for the college application process. Participants learn about a variety of colleges and universities by connecting with 70+ partner institutions and establish personal relationships with college admission representatives and counselors.

Eligibility Requirements

Original Requirements

  • Be an enrolled citizen member of a federally recognized or state recognized American Indian tribe, Alaska Native group, or Native Hawaiian.
  • Be a current sophomore (class of 2028) or junior (class of 2027) in high school.
  • Have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA (in core academic courses, not electives).
  • Be a U.S. Citizen and currently reside in the United States.
  • Submit a completed application by the priority deadline.
