About this scholarship

The CVS Health Foundation / AACP Community Pharmacy Award provides one-time $20,000 scholarships to student pharmacists who face financial barriers and demonstrate leadership, academic success, and a commitment to patient care and the pharmacy profession. For 2026, 21 awards will be distributed and funds will be sent to recipients' institutions for tuition/fees.

Eligibility requirements

9 listed

Enrolled as a P1 or P2 in a 3- or 4-year Pharm.D. program, or enrolled as a P3 or P4 in a 0-5 or 0-6 Pharm.D. program at an AACP member institution for the 2026-27 academic year

Must demonstrate financial barriers; adjusted gross income on most recent Federal Income Tax Return (Form 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ) must fall below the program's Low-Income Level (200% of HHS poverty guidelines)

U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Demonstrate leadership, academic success, and a commitment to advancing the pharmacy profession and patient care

GPA of 2.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale (applicants from schools with other grading systems are still eligible)

Submit a completed application by 2026-06-15

Applicants may receive the CVS Health Foundation / AACP Community Pharmacy Award only once

Reference letters are required and due by the application deadline

Second recommendation must come from a pharmacist, pharmacy scientist, pharmacy researcher, pharmacy school faculty member, or another healthcare professional or educator
