About this scholarship

Provides up to $10,000 annually to low-income single parents who are Head of Household (HOH) returning to college. Four awards are offered each year (two female parents and two male parents). Awards are renewable based on good academic standing and intended to offset the "Self-Help" portion of financial aid. Eligible applicants are community college students (or recent enrollees) pursuing an associate degree, certificate, or planning to transfer to a four-year college; applicants must be accepted to an accredited nonprofit school/program and be residents of specified Bay Area counties.
