About This Scholarship

The Deborah Crockett Scholarship Program supports graduate students pursuing careers in school psychology who may face barriers to entering or advancing in the field. The program reflects NASP’s commitment to strengthening the profession by supporting students who bring a range of experiences, perspectives, and goals to their work. Selected scholars receive a $5,000 award, along with professional recognition and support, including acknowledgment at the NASP Annual Convention.

Eligibility Requirements

Original Requirements

  • Presently enrolled full- or part-time in a specialist-level school psychology program that is NASP-approved or regionally accredited
  • Demonstrate financial need (i.e. Student Aid Index of 30,000 or below) or are a first-generation college student
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • NASP member
  • Applicants must have at least two academic terms remaining in their program at the time funding begins
  • Students in doctoral programs are not eligible
  • Students who have not yet started their graduate program in school psychology are not eligible
