Award for students who complete the Next Level Scholars™ program. Awards are estimated at $4,000 per recipient (disbursement options: $2,000/year for 2 years; $1,000/year for 4 years; or $4,000 in one year for one-year programs). Eligibility is conditional on completion of program requirements (FAFSA, FAFSA Submission Summary to DRDFS, applying to multiple post-secondary institutions, submitting post-secondary information by the deadline, and required award/agreement/renewal forms). Submit your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) to Detroit Regional Dollars for Scholars

Submit applications to at least three post-secondary institutions

Determine your post-secondary institution and participate in Suited for Success to announce your decision

Complete FAFSA Verification if selected

Submit post-secondary information (including fall 2025 course schedule and financial aid package) by 2026-09-01 to receive scholarship check

Submit Award Agreement or Award Renewal form (required for disbursement)

Indicate disbursement preference in the Award Agreement prior to September 1 of the year of high school graduation

Funds must be used only for qualified tuition and related expenses (not room/board)
