PFLAG Sacramento awards scholarships to outstanding recipients in honor of The Rev. and Mrs. Merrill Follansbee, and Jean Hansen, the chapter's co-founders and proud parents of LGBTQ+ individuals. The scholarship is for individuals who self-identify as a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, demonstrate an interest in service to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, live in the Greater Sacramento Region, and will be enrolled at a college, university, or technical school for the following academic year with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
