The Fry Scholarship provides education benefits to the children and surviving spouses of service members who died in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001. Eligible recipients can receive up to 36 months of benefits for tuition, fees, housing, books, supplies, and more. There is no time limit for using this benefit if the service member died on or after January 1, 2013, or if the service member was a member of the Selected Reserve who died in the line of duty other than active duty or from a service-connected disability.
