The GCSAA Legacy Awards competition aids children and grandchildren of GCSAA members. Awards are given based on academic achievement, extracurricular and community involvement, leadership, and outside employment. Financial need is not a factor.

Parent or grandparent must be active Class A, B, C, EM, A-Retired, B-Retired or AA member for five or more consecutive years
Past winners may reapply after a one-year hiatus
More than one student from the same family may be awarded a scholarship within the same year
Must submit an original essay of up to 500 words on a topic related to the golf industry
Must submit transcripts from all high school and colleges attended
High school seniors must submit college letter of acceptance
