Award recognizing an individual who has made significant contributions to the analysis of fats, oils and related products. Recipient receives a plaque, a US $1,000 honorarium, up to a US $1,000 travel allowance, a complimentary Analytical Division meal ticket, and an opportunity to present an award lecture at the AOCS Annual Meeting. Nominations are submitted via the AOCS Awards Portal and require a letter of nomination, at least three letters of support, and a curriculum vitae with publications and patents.

Scientists who have made significant contributions to the analysis of fats, oils and related products which are reflected in current analytical methodologies
The scientists' research must have resulted in major advances in the understanding of processes utilized in the fats and oils industry
Letter of nomination describing the candidate’s research and service in the fields of fats, oils and related materials
At least three letters of support from individuals familiar with the candidate’s accomplishments
Curriculum Vitae which includes a full list of publications and patents
Division and/or AOCS membership is not required; preference is given to members
