The Huayu Enrichment Scholarships support American students pursuing Huayu (Mandarin proficiency) courses in Taiwan, both to increase their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society and to promote mutual understanding between Taiwan and the international community. The scholarship offers a monthly stipend of NT$25,000 for durations of 2 (summer classes), 3, 6, or 9 months.
