Merit scholarships funded by the International Pacific Halibut Commission to support post-secondary education. Generally a single new scholarship valued at US$4,000 per year is awarded every two years. Scholarships are renewable annually for up to the normal four-year undergraduate period, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Recipients are selected by a panel based on academic qualifications, career goals, and relationship to the Pacific halibut industry.
