Provided by Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs
A Kentucky state benefit that waives tuition for eligible dependents (children, stepchildren, spouses, and un-remarried widows/widowers) of qualifying Kentucky veterans. Covers tuition ONLY at two-year, four-year, or vocational-technical schools operated and funded by the Kentucky Department of Education (private or out-of-state schools do not qualify). Eligibility depends on the veteran's service status/condition and Kentucky residency. Apply after you have been accepted to a qualifying KY state-funded college; processing typically takes at least 30 days. The waiver is issued by email to the student and the school and remains valid until the recipient receives a degree/certificate, uses 45 months of classes, or (for child beneficiaries) turns 26, subject to eligibility rules.
