The Marshall Scholarships aim to foster and enhance American and British relations by supporting U.S. citizens who wish to pursue a graduate degree at a university in the United Kingdom. The scholarship covers university fees, cost of living expenses, annual book grant, thesis grant, research and daily travel grants, fares to and from the United States, and, where applicable, a contribution towards the support of a dependent spouse. Typical award is in excess of $30,000.
