The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and James B. Beam Distilling Co. offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Five scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship of up to $7,000 for the 2026-2027 academic year, which may be renewable up to two years if recipients continue to meet eligibility requirements. The scholarship amount will be allocated in one installment during the fall 2026 semester and can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.

Open to majors in Agricultural science, Agricultural business, Food and nutritional science
Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
Must have the 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
