Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), with support from the United Health Foundation, offers financial assistance to outstanding students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Sixty scholars will be selected to receive a renewable scholarship for up to two years, in the amount of $10,000 per year, beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. The scholarship supports current and future health care professionals who want to improve clinical skills and credentials.

Must be enrolled full-time or part-time as a junior, senior, graduate, and/or professional student at any HBCU during the 2026-2027 academic year
Students must have at least two years of study remaining before their anticipated degree completion date (including graduate and/or professional study)
Open to students pursuing degrees (bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate) that will lead to careers as clinical professionals
Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
Must have a completed 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
