About this scholarship

An internal award increase process for current WSOS recipients. Recipients receive $2,500 per academic year until an Award Increase Request is approved; once approved the scholarship increases to $5,000 per academic year (applied the following academic year). Requests are submitted via the WSOS Scholar Portal and require a CIP letter and an unofficial transcript showing required credits.

Eligibility requirements

Be admitted into a WSOS-eligible bachelor's degree program

Have earned at least 60 semester or 90 quarter credits

Submit the Award Increase Request through the Scholar Portal (Submit Request tab)

Upload a Classification of Instructional Program (CIP) letter from your college or university

Upload an unofficial transcript that demonstrates you have earned at least 60 semester or 90 quarter credits (in-progress credits are counted if reflected on transcript)

CIP letter must be on college letterhead or an email with signature block and must be signed or include the signature block from the registrar or faculty member

CIP letter must state the name of the major youve been accepted into, the CIP code, and the date you were accepted

Must be admitted into a bachelors program (associate degree acceptance is not eligible)

Major must be on WSOSs approved majors list; minors are not considered
